Accessibility
Our commitment to making this website usable for everyone.
Last updated: June 5, 2026
Echoes of the Forest is committed to ensuring our website is accessible to people of all abilities. We believe everyone should be able to learn about our mission, the artisans we work with, and the installations created from Hurricane Helene–salvaged timber across Western North Carolina.
We strive to make our website welcoming and usable for as many people as possible, including those who rely on assistive technologies such as screen readers, keyboard navigation, or screen magnification.
We aim to conform to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 at Level AA, which describe how to make web content more accessible to people with a wide range of disabilities. We consider our website to be partially conformant, meaning that while we work toward these standards, some portions of the site may not yet fully meet them.
Steps we take to support accessibility include:
Despite our efforts, some limitations may exist. Certain older content, documents, or third-party features embedded on our site — such as maps, donation tools, or social media content — are provided by outside services and may not fully meet accessibility standards. We are continuing to identify and address these areas.
We welcome your feedback. If you encounter a barrier or have difficulty accessing any part of our website, please let us know and we will do our best to help and to make improvements. When contacting us, it helps to describe the page and the issue you experienced.
